A girl, aged 11, evaded airport security, flying 450 miles, sparking major fears of gaps in the system.

The 11-year-olg girl made the 450-mile journey by plane completely alone and nobody noticed that fact. Reportedly, the 11-year-old was curious and wanted to see St Petersburg but when she landed after the hour-long flight she decided to stay in the arrivals hall. Her parents realised that she had not come home from school and they started calling her and she told them where she was. Later airport staff tracked her down and returned her to her family.

Now the society is worried, and a number of questions have been raised.

  • How could that happen?
  • Why haven’t airport staff checked her ID?
  • How could flight attendants ignore the fact that the girl was travelling on her own without ID or a ticket?

Meanwhile, the authorities are re-examining security procedures and investigating the incident,  which has raised some many questions regarding airports and domestic flights safety issues. It is interesting, that this girl is not the first to sneak past security. Find more about this case here.

By the way, that is one more case, which proves that kids monitoring is essential. Luckily, this story has a happy end. But, we all know that thing could be different and the little girl could be in danger, alone in the unknown city. That is why it is for sure that parents should prevent such cases from happening. Should the girl’s parents had had installed CRT on her mobile, they would have noticed that she was at the airport and would act at that moment.

Meanwhile, we remind you that CRT now is one of the key instruments to safeguard modern children online. It is one of the best ways nowadays to really acknowledge any child’s interests and concerns. With the GPS tracking, parents can know if their children are in the wrong or dangerous neighborhood; with the messaging records, including texts, emails and most messengers – the cyber-bullying problem can be prevented.  With the web browsing history reports, concerned parents can make sure that children are not spending time on Inappropriate or gambling websites.
